Ein Kontrolldeck, das darauf abzielt, die wichtigsten Kreaturen oder Fähigkeiten des Gegners zu stören, würde von der Verwendung von „Turn to Frog“ in Magic: the Gathering profitieren. Während Turn to Frog eine solide Karte ist, um Bedrohungen vorübergehend zu kastrieren, gibt es bessere Optionen wie Swords to Plowshares oder Path to Exile, die die Kreatur vollständig ins Exil schicken. Turn to Frog könnte in bestimmten Metaspielen eine Rolle spielen, in denen Kreaturen mit problematischen Fähigkeiten neutralisiert werden müssen, anstatt dauerhaft entfernt zu werden.

Turn to Frog doesn’t counter abilities that have already triggered or been activated. In particular, there is no way to cast this spell to stop a creature’s ability that says “At the beginning of your upkeep,” “When this creature enters the battlefield,” or similar from triggering.
