About Thassa's Emissary

Thassa's Emissary, Enchantment creature — crab, designed by Sam Burley first released in Sep, 2013 in the set Theros and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of A$ 0.54.

Thassa's Emissary would be a great addition to a blue-based control or tempo deck looking to generate card advantage and enhance its creatures' power. While it offers card draw and a significant power boost, there may be better options depending on the specific strategy of the deck, such as cards with more immediate impact or synergy with other cards in the deck. However, Thassa's Emissary could still see play in certain decks that can benefit from its abilities and fit it into their overall game plan effectively.

Rules

09/15/13

Auras attached to a creature don’t become tapped when the creature becomes tapped. Except in some rare cases, an Aura with bestow remains untapped when it becomes unattached and becomes a creature.

09/15/13

On the stack, a spell with bestow is either a creature spell or an Aura spell. It’s never both, although it’s an enchantment spell in either case.

09/15/13

Unlike other Auras, an Aura with bestow isn’t put into its owner’s graveyard if it becomes unattached. Rather, the effect making it an Aura ends, it loses enchant creature, and it remains on the battlefield as an enchantment creature. It can attack (and its abilities can be activated, if it has any) on the turn it becomes unattached if it’s been under your control continuously, even as an Aura, since your most recent turn began.
