Unchained fits best in a Maquinamon-focused control or midrange deck that wants to build and protect a tall stack, since it prevents your Maquinamon from being reduced below 1000 DP (stopping certain deletion-by-DP effects) and, more importantly, protects its digivolution cards from being trashed by your opponent, which is very strong against decks that strip sources to disable key inherited effects; the End of All Turns effect also lets you cheat out another Unchained from sources, enabling value looping or board presence without paying its cost. It’s most beneficial in builds that rely heavily on stacked inherited effects and want resilience against source-strip or control strategies, but in faster, more aggressive metas, it may be outclassed by more proactive tamers or memory-setting tamers that provide immediate tempo (such as standard memory setters to 3) or cards that grant blocker, reboot, or unsuspend pressure; if there are Maquinamon-specific tamers that grant direct DP boosts
