A deck focused on aggressive creature strategies or planeswalker-heavy decks would benefit from Hour of Devastation, as it can clear the board of threats and pave the way for a decisive attack. However, there are potentially better options like Wrath of God or Damnation which offer more flexibility and efficiency in board clearing. Hour of Devastation could see play in specific metagames or sideboard situations where its unique effect is particularly useful, but it may not be a staple in most decks due to its higher mana cost and limited scope of impact.
