About Cougarmon

Cougarmon, Digimon championmammal/glowing dawn/beatbreak, designed by None first released in May 2026 in the set Starter Deck 23: Beatbreak and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 0.15.

Cougarmon fits best in a Yellow security-control or security-recovery deck that can afford to trash or manipulate its own Security stack, since Barrier trades a Security card to keep it alive, making it more valuable in builds that recover Security or gain value when Security is removed; however, most competitive Yellow decks prefer Champions that provide stronger on-play or inherited effects (such as memory gain, DP reduction, recovery, or synergy with archetypes like Vaccine, Angels, or ShineGreymon lines), meaning cards like bulkier blockers, recovery-focused Angels, or synergy pieces tied to the deck’s main evolution line will generally outperform a vanilla Barrier body. Because Barrier costs you Security without advancing your game plan, Cougarmon would likely be a niche tech choice at best and not a staple, seeing play only if a specific strategy benefits from self-security trashing or needs a sticky mid-level body.
