It can serve as a removal option while also providing a flying threat. However, for a more efficient removal option, consider using cards like Murder or Doom Blade, which can destroy any creature without the condition of it being dealt damage that turn. Final-Sting Faerie could see play in a deck that can reliably trigger its ability, but there are better removal options available in the current card pool.
