This card, Infernal Pet, would benefit a deck that focuses on casting multiple spells in a turn, such as a spell-heavy aggro or tempo deck. While Infernal Pet can provide a quick boost and evasion with flying, there are potentially better cards like Dreadhorde Arcanist or Young Pyromancer that offer more consistent value and board presence. However, if the deck is built around triggering its ability consistently, Infernal Pet could see play as a situational threat that can surprise opponents with its flying ability and growing power.

The triggered ability can trigger only once each turn. The ability will resolve before the second spell does. It doesn’t matter if the first spell you cast that turn has resolved, was countered, or is still on the stack.
