This card, Pack's Disdain, would be beneficial in a tribal deck that focuses on a specific creature type, as it can weaken opposing creatures based on the number of permanents of the chosen type you control. However, there are potentially better options like Engineered Plague or Night of Souls' Betrayal that offer more consistent and powerful effects against creature-based strategies. Pack's Disdain could see situational play in specific metagames where the -1/-1 reduction can have a significant impact on the board state.

Note that this spell counts the number of permanents you control of the chosen type, not just the number of creatures you control. It will also take your tribal permanents into account.
