Squirrelanoids, Creature — squirrel mutant, designed by Eilene Cherie first released in Feb, 2026 in the set Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
A one-mana black creature with deathtouch like Squirrelanoids would fit best in aggressive black decks, aristocrats strategies, or sacrifice-based builds that value cheap creatures for early pressure, blocking, or fodder (such as Rakdos Sacrifice or mono-black aggro), since deathtouch lets it trade up with much larger threats and deter attackers efficiently. However, unless it has additional upside (like higher toughness or an extra ability), it would likely be outclassed by cards such as **Typhoid Rats**, **Foulmire Knight** (which offers card draw flexibility), or **Gifted Aetherborn** (which adds lifelink and stronger stats), all of which provide more value; as a result, Squirrelanoids would mostly see play in Limited, very budget builds, or niche tribal/mutant themes rather than competitive Constructed formats.
