A deck that focuses on aggressive creature strategies, such as a red aggro or burn deck, would benefit from using Tide of War to potentially clear the way for their creatures to deal direct damage to the opponent. However, there are better cards with more consistent effects for achieving a similar outcome, such as board wipes or targeted removal spells. Tide of War may not see much play in competitive decks due to its reliance on coin flips and the potential for unpredictability in its outcome.

Even if the blockers are sacrificed, any attackers that were blocked are still considered blocked.

Tide of War’s ability triggers only once each combat and only if at least one blocker is declared. The effect does nothing to unblocked attacking creatures.
