Fieldmist Borderpost, Artifact, designed by Michael Bruinsma first released in Apr, 2009 in the set Alara Reborn and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of ₱ 28.82.
A deck that focuses on mana ramp and color fixing, such as a control or midrange deck in a multicolor format, would benefit from using Fieldmist Borderpost. While it provides flexibility in mana cost and color options, there are better alternatives like Arcane Signet or Talisman of Progress that offer immediate mana acceleration without the need to return a land to hand. Fieldmist Borderpost may not see much play in competitive decks due to its slower and conditional nature compared to other mana rocks available.

Casting this card by paying its alternative cost doesn’t change when you can cast it. You can cast it only at the normal time you could cast an artifact spell. It also doesn’t change the spell’s mana cost or converted mana cost. The only difference is the cost you actually pay.

To satisfy the alternative cost, you may return any basic land you control to its owner’s hand, regardless of that land’s subtype or whether it’s tapped.
