This card, Magus of the Library, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on card draw and hand management, such as a control or combo deck. While its ability to generate colorless mana and draw a card when you have exactly seven cards in hand is unique and can be powerful in the right circumstances, there are better options available in Magic: the Gathering for similar effects, such as Jace, the Mind Sculptor or Brainstorm.
