Atrocious Experiment would be beneficial in a deck focused on milling the opponent's library or utilizing graveyard interactions, such as a Dimir or Grixis control deck. However, there are more efficient cards like Glimpse the Unthinkable or Mind Funeral that provide better value for a similar effect. Atrocious Experiment may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its high mana cost and relatively low impact compared to other options available.
