Contested Cliffs would be a solid addition to a Gruul or Naya aggro deck that focuses on a creature-heavy strategy, particularly with Beast creatures, as it offers targeted removal and allows for combat advantage. However, other cards like Kessig Wolf Run may provide more versatile options for enhancing creature strength and evasion for a similar cost, making Contested Cliffs less desirable in comparison.
