Tangled Islet would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on ramping and fixing mana, particularly in decks that require both green and blue mana. However, there are better options available such as Breeding Pool, which enters untapped and provides both colors of mana without the drawback of entering tapped. Tangled Islet may not see play in competitive decks due to its drawback of entering tapped, unless the deck specifically needs the additional land with the forest and island types.
