This card, Mire in Misery, would benefit a control deck looking to disrupt their opponent's board by forcing them to sacrifice a creature or enchantment. While it can be effective in certain situations, there are better options available such as Languish or Damnation which offer more impactful board wipes. Mire in Misery could see play in a budget deck or as a sideboard option against specific strategies, but may not be a top choice for competitive play.

As Mire in Misery resolves, first the next opponent in turn order (or, if it’s an opponent’s turn, the opponent whose turn it is) chooses a creature or an enchantment they control, then each other opponent in turn order does the same, knowing the choices made before them. Then all the chosen permanents are sacrificed at the same time.
