This card, Unwilling Recruit, would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to gain temporary control of an opponent's creature for a powerful attack. While it can be a useful surprise tactic, there are better cards like Act of Treason or Threaten that offer similar effects at a lower cost, making them more efficient choices for most decks. Unwilling Recruit could see situational play in decks looking for a unique twist on creature theft strategies, but it may not be a staple card in competitive play due to its high mana cost.

You may target a creature you already control with Unwilling Recruit. If you do, you’ll gain control of that creature (which usually won’t have any visible effect), untap it, and it’ll get +X/+0 until end of turn.
