Magic reveals three Final Fantasy Secret Lair drops

Wizards of the Coast has announced on its official website three Secret Lair collections featuring exclusive Final Fantasy artwork. Drops will be available in English and Japanese, and prices range from $29.99 for a drop to $399.99 for the full bundle.

Wizards of the Coast revealed today (14) three new collections in the Secret Lair line in collaboration with the Final Fantasy franchise. The drops, titled Game Over, Grimoire and Weapons, feature exclusive art that reimagines classic Magic: The Gathering cards with iconic characters, spells and weapons from Square Enix's RPG series.

Each collection will be available in non-foil and rainbow foil versions, with suggested retail prices of $29.99 and $39.99, respectively. The products will be released as part of the “Summer Superdrop” on June 9, 2025, at 9:00 AM PT, exclusively on the Secret Lair official website. The editions will be printed in English and Japanese, with a limited run.

Complete bundles will be available for up to $400

In addition to the individual drops, Wizards of the Coast will be offering promotional bundles. The English-Language Final Fantasy Bundle includes rainbow foil and non-foil versions of all three sets. Purchasers of certain bundles will receive, while supplies last, a promotional version of Gilded Lotus.

Complete bundles will be available in English and Japanese, with both foil and non-foil versions for $199.99, and the bundle with both languages ​​will be available for $399.99.

This initiative is part of the Universes Beyond line, which integrates elements from other franchises into the Magic: The Gathering universe. The collaboration with Final Fantasy also includes Commander decks and themed booster packs, scheduled for release on June 13, 2025.
