Mailmon is mainly worth considering in a dedicated blue [Appmon]/[Seven Code] deck that can consistently use its trait-based effects and rewards, rather than in generic blue decks where a 4-cost body is usually too inefficient; it can help fill out the curve or provide another searchable/evolvable name if the deck specifically needs [Seven Code] cards, but it is unlikely to be a staple by itself. In most competitive builds, stronger blue Appmon options such as Gatchmon and Dogatchmon are generally preferable because they provide more valuable early-game consistency and evolution payoff, while higher-impact blue cards with stronger draw, memory gain, removal, or security pressure will outperform Mailmon outside its intended theme. It should see play only as a small number of copies in a true Appmon/Seven Code list if its exact effect is needed for consistency or trait requirements; otherwise, it is usually a cut for more efficient blue rookies or utility cards.
